What Else Was On: November and December 2014

This is how 2014 ends. Not with a bang, but with a series of ‘Huh?’s.

House of DVF — Take one part The Apprentice, one part America’s Next Top Model, a sprinkle of Project Runway, an emphasis on production and lots of time with fashion designer Diane Von Furstengerg and you get this absolutely fabulous series. The show was a search for a new brand ambassador for DVF’s company, but it refused to follow the standard format of any competition for a job.

State of Affairs — Katherine Heigl has returned to television in this political thriller. Half of us are still on board, even if it is heading into Scandal Bonkers territory.1

Real Housewives of Atlanta — Despite our disdain toward Bravo’s brand of reality television, we just can’t resist the women of Atlanta. They are always bringing the party, the drama, and the catchphrases, even in their seventh season.

Musical Week! — In preparation for NBC’s second musical outing Peter Pan Live!, we highlighted some of our favorite musical moments from the back catalog.

The Librarians — Hee hee hee hee hee. Several grown adults, like with jobs and everything, continue to be delighted by this spin-off of a trilogy of made-for-tv movies none of us watched. Consider catching up on the adventures with Flynn, Baird, Stone, Cassandra, Ezekiel, and, most of all, Jenkins.
